Dr. Rowena Arzt to head department of trade fair management beginning October 1, 2016
Effective October 1, Dr. Rowena Arzt (41) will assume her new position as Director of Exhibitions at Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbetriebe (WZF GmbH). With a doctorate in business administration, Dr. Arzt will manage the activities relating to Interzoo, the leading international trade fair for the pet industry. As international expert for the trade fair industry, she will additionally work with management on the further development of the trade fair strategy for WZF GmbH.
In her dissertation at the University of Cologne, she focused on a benchmark study measuring the competitiveness of European trade fair organisers. She subsequently worked in corporate development at Koelnmesse and held a senior management position at UFI - The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry based in Paris. She will move from there to Wiesbaden.
With regard to the Interzoo and her new position Dr. Arzt explained: “For the international pet industry, Interzoo is an ideal platform for information, making business contacts, and further development. Interzoo provides a highly professional product presentation and multiple opportunities for dialogue among the industry players. I look very much forward to taking over this new responsibility, especially since it combines two of my passions: pets and trade fairs”.
